How a check-in works
Each check-in follows the same four steps, so it gets easier every week:
- How you feel. Pick a mood from 1 to 5 and rate your relationship from 1 to 10.
- Gratitude. Write what you appreciate about your partner this week. You can save it to your appreciations too.
- Challenges. Note anything that needs care, with optional conversation starters. This step is optional.
- Looking ahead. Pick one small thing to focus on together this week, then choose whether to share the check-in with a linked partner.
Why a regular check-in helps
Small frustrations are easier to talk about when there is a set time for them. A check-in gives you that time, and it also makes room to notice what is going well. Read more in our guide to relationship check-ins.
Free and Premium
The free plan includes 5 check-ins a month. Premium makes them unlimited, adds more conversation starters and lets you share check-ins with a linked partner. The app shows what is included before you subscribe. See pricing for how plans work.
Questions
How long does a weekly check-in take?
Most people finish the four steps in a few minutes. Talking it through with your partner afterward can take longer, and that is the point.
Do we both need the app to check in?
No. You can check in on your own. To share check-ins with each other, both partners need the app, an account and a partner link. Sharing is part of Premium, and one subscription covers you both.
