Pricing and billing
20 answers about pricing and billing from Stronger Couple. Direct, plain-language answers with links to learn more.
Is Stronger Couple free?
Stronger Couple is free to download, and the free plan includes a monthly allowance of check-ins and appreciations, a starter set of prompts, goals, milestones, date ideas and quiz questions, reminders, and cloud backup when you sign in. An optional Premium subscription removes the limits and unlocks partner linking, insights, the conflict tool and more. Our pricing page compares the plans, and the app shows what you get before you pay anything.
Is there a free trial?
A free trial may be offered for new subscribers. The app only shows trial wording when the App Store confirms that a trial is set up and that your Apple Account is eligible. If you are, the subscription button and the text under it show the trial length and what you'll pay when it ends. If you don't see a trial, you aren't currently eligible, for example because you've used one before. Our pricing page has more about billing.
What can I do on the free plan?
In version 1.1.0, the free plan includes 5 check-ins and 10 appreciations a month, 10 conversation prompts, 2 active goals, 3 custom milestones, 10 date-night ideas with 3 favorites, 10 quiz questions a week, the weekly report summary, reminders, and backup and sync when you sign in. Starting a partner invite, insights and the conflict tool need Premium. You can join a partner who has Premium without your own subscription. The app shows your remaining usage. Our library of guides, prompts and exercises is always free.
Does one subscription cover both partners?
Yes, once you're linked. Our server shares a subscriber's Premium with their connected partner, so the partner doesn't need to pay separately. Creating an invite code needs Premium, but a partner on the free plan can join using a code from a partner who has their own Premium subscription. Sharing lasts while the subscription is active and you stay linked. It ends if the subscription ends, or if either of you disconnects, blocks or deletes their account, and the joined partner goes back to the free plan. Apple Family Sharing is a separate setting and is not the same as partner linking.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so you cancel through your iPhone. Open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Stronger Couple, and tap Cancel Subscription. In the app, settings also has a Manage subscription link that opens the same screen. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've paid for. Apple's guide on how to cancel a subscription from Apple (external site) shows every step. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
Will I be charged when the trial ends?
Yes, unless you cancel. Under Apple's rules, a free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically, and it renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or current period ends. Apple's purchase sheet shows when your first charge will happen. You can check that date anytime in Settings, then your name, then Subscriptions.
How do I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple, so we can't issue them directly. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple Account, choose "Request a refund," and select the Stronger Couple purchase. Apple decides each request. Apple's page on requesting a refund for apps or content (external site) explains the process. Canceling stops future charges but doesn't refund past ones.
How do I restore my purchase?
If you reinstalled the app or got a new iPhone, sign in to the same Stronger Couple account you subscribed with, then tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen or Restore purchases in settings. Your iPhone must be signed in to the same Apple Account that paid. Our server checks the purchase with Apple and turns Premium back on. A subscription stays tied to the Stronger Couple account that bought it, so it can't be moved to a different account. If it doesn't work, contact Support.
Can I switch from monthly to annual?
Usually yes. Apple manages plan changes, so open the Settings app, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Stronger Couple and pick the other plan. You can also get there from Manage subscription in the app's settings. Apple explains when the change takes effect and when you'll be charged. If you don't see another plan there, contact Support and we'll help.
Do you offer a lifetime plan?
No. Premium is offered only as a monthly or annual subscription, and there is no one-time lifetime purchase. If we ever add a lifetime option, it will appear on the subscription screen in the app and on our pricing page. You can cancel a subscription at any time through your Apple settings.
Is there Family Sharing?
Family Sharing for subscriptions is a setting the developer turns on in the App Store, and it's shown on an app's App Store listing when available. Please check the Stronger Couple listing for the current status. Family Sharing is separate from partner linking, which shares a subscriber's Premium with one linked partner inside the app. Ask Support if you have questions before buying.
Are there ads in the free version?
No. Stronger Couple doesn't show ads, and it doesn't include any advertising software. If that ever changes, we'll update this answer, our privacy policy, and the App Store privacy details before the change ships. We think a calm, private space matters for couples working on their relationship.
Do you offer student or hardship discounts?
Not at the moment. Pricing is the same for everyone in the same country, and it's set through the App Store. If cost is a barrier, the free plan and our free library of guides, prompts and exercises are a good place to start. Free interactive tools like the date night generator are open to everyone.
Why is the price different in my country?
Apple sets App Store prices separately for each country or region. Prices reflect local currency, taxes and Apple's price tiers, so the same subscription can cost a different amount in another country. The price shown on the subscription screen in the app and on Apple's purchase sheet is the correct one for your App Store account.
Can I buy a gift subscription?
No. Stronger Couple subscriptions can only be bought from inside the app, and each one is tied to the account that bought it. If you want your partner to have Premium, you don't need a gift: link with them, and your Premium is shared with them while you stay linked. See partner linking for how that works.
Does deleting the app cancel my subscription?
No. Deleting the app from your iPhone doesn't cancel your subscription, and Apple will keep charging you until you cancel. To stop charges, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, choose Stronger Couple and tap Cancel Subscription. Deleting the app also doesn't delete your account. To do that, see how to delete your account.
